Job Description
Role Overview:
A Software QA is an engineer with the primary responsibility of effective assurance of product quality through testing various test cases. It is a unique and challenging role that calls for a strong passion for quality and technology while providing an immense opportunity to design and develop wide-reaching tools.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Understand the product/module requirement and come up with required test cases
- Hands-on authoring of test cases and test code combined with test execution.
- Interaction with design teams and working towards resolving bugs, ensuring that the product meets the quality and usability expectations.
- Drive the usability aspects with customer requirements in mind.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting in a variety of local and remote testing environments as well as in the field as required.
- Reviewing product documentation and providing feedback.
- Compliance with latest testing methodologies to deliver additional functionality with improved quality.
Job Description
- Analyze requirements & user stories, system requirements, and design specifications for feasibility and create corresponding test scenarios.
- Documenting the test cases into Project management tools.
- Perform manual testing of web & mobile applications to ensure the software meets requirements and is fit for use.
- Load testing of APIs and suggesting changes wherever required.
- Create & maintain test plans according to project details and schedule.
- Communicate testing progress, results, and other relevant information to the project team and other stakeholders based on test plans.
- Track defects, create and maintain QC testing reports.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in manualtesting of mobile apps, web apps, and APIs.
- Experience in product testing and experience in bug analysis,designing test cases, and contribution to effective test planning.
- Good understanding of Quality Process/Test Life Cycle and defect lifecycle.Proven experience in creating test data and test scenarios.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both within a team and cross-group to drive identification and resolution of issues to ship under tight deadlines along with being able to drive features into the product.
- Must be highly motivated with a strong passion for and commitment to software quality.
- Knowledge of any bug tracking system like, JIRA, Zoho Sprints, etc.
- Knowledge of version control systems like GIT.
- Knowledge of RESTful architecture usage of REST API tools like swagger is highly desirable.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Experience inAPI testing with Postman.
- Experience with Selenium & is good to have.
- Experience in testing Mongo databases is good to have.
- Experience with load testing using JMeter or similar tool is good to have.
