- Scheduling appointments with clients to start a new membership or follow up on past memberships
- Monitoring the front desk and answering incoming calls, greeting customers as they enter the gym, and answering questions about the facility s services
- Processing membership applications and fees, collecting insurance information, and issuing memberships
- Taking care of basic customer service tasks such as answering phones, greeting clients by name, and checking in with members
- Updating member records with new contact information and payment details
- Maintaining membership records and processing fees as directed by management
- Collecting payment from members for gym services rendered
- Explaining facility policies and procedures to new members and helping them get acquainted with the facility
- Making announcements over the public address system about events taking place at the gym or facility or about facility policies
Requirements
Education: At least a high school diploma but a person with a degree is preferred.
Training & Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a receptionist preferably in the same industry.
Certifications & Licenses:Not Required.
