Cost Accountant

1 Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents and records of the organization.

2 Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.

3 Prepare and complete internal cost audits.

4 Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.

5 Analyze the data collected and log a detailed record of the results.

6 Analyze any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has onthe cost.

7 Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actualproduction costs.

8 Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.

9 Any other job assigned by the line manager.
