- Set up relevant financial structures for all transactions in order to minimize risk, optimize working capital and reduce financing cost
- Review tenders and business projects to identify finance related requirements and meet the requirements in an optimal manner
- Review facility and security documentation for existing and new financing facilities
- Be the main point of contact for all banking related matters
- Review and negotiate bank documentation of existing and new financing facilities
- Be responsible for allocating Accounts Receivables discounting, LC issuance, and LC confirmation business among the banking pool in a cost-efficient and timely manner
- Minimize financing costs through negotiations.
- Review contracts and tender documents in order to identify and address finance related requirements
- Be a source and point of contact for commercial teams to provide advice and guidance on financing costs and availability of various financing tools to support the business while meeting KPIs
- Review and pro-actively assist in creating new and/or updated internal finance procedures to keep up with best practices
- Prepare various information and reporting packages for banks and financing partners covering business, operational, financial, and other information about the Group
Letter of Credit Management
- Negotiate LC/Guarantee wording in accordance with internal policies to adequately protect the company
- Manage LC requests (IN/OUT) and liaise with operations and banks’ LC departments to ensure acceptable LCs are issued/received timely
- Be responsible for managing the documentary process for commercial LCs, LC confirmations, and discounting of LCs with banks;
- Be responsible to review and advise stakeholders on all documentary processes and requirements related to LCs and LC payments;
- Review and manage tender related LC requirements, such as Bid Bonds, Performance Bonds, and make allocations at minimum cost;
- Contractual review for finance-related matters to ensure compliance with company policies;
- Input, maintain and verify data in a proprietary system (Autoline).
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance. ACCA, CA, CMA or MBA is a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in trade finance preferably in banks
- Should work independently
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills, a sound understanding of international settlement processes is expected
