Job Summary: The Dean (Training) is responsible for the strategic design implementation and management of training programs that align with industry standards and the institutions educational goals. This role focuses on integrating training programs into the curriculum ensuring that students acquire relevant and uptodate industry skills. The Dean (Training) will work closely with faculty industry partners and other stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness and relevance of training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Development and Management:
    • Design and develop comprehensive training programs and curricula that meet industry standards and address current skill gaps.
    • Oversee the implementation of training programs ensuring alignment with the institution s educational objectives and industry requirements.
    • Evaluate and update training materials and methods regularly to ensure they reflect the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
  2. Industry Collaboration:
    • Analyze market trends and industry needs to inform the development of training programs.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners employers and professional organizations to ensure programs remain relevant and valuable.
    • Facilitate partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders for program enhancements and opportunities.
  3. Student Assessment and Feedback:
    • Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate student progress and skill acquisition.
    • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them meet their career goals and improve their skills.
    • Monitor and analyze student performance and outcomes to ensure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  4. Curriculum Integration:
    • Integrate training programs into the existing curriculum ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience.
    • Work with faculty and academic departments to ensure that training initiatives complement and enhance overall academic offerings.
  5. Administrative Duties:
    • Manage the budget for training programs including allocation of resources and financial planning.
    • Prepare reports and documentation on program performance student outcomes and industry trends for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Participate in institutional committees and contribute to strategic planning and decisionmaking processes.
  6. Professional Development:
    • Stay current with industry trends technological advancements and best practices in training and education.
    • Attend conferences workshops and other professional development opportunities to continuously enhance expertise.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master s degree or higher in Education Training and Development Human Resources or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing training programs preferably in an academic or professional setting.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and skill requirements across various sectors.
  • Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in student assessment and program evaluation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty students and industry partners.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in an administrative or leadership role within an educational institution.
  • Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and learning management systems.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and compliance standards related to training programs.

Work Environment:

  • The position may require occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate program schedules and industry events.
  • The role may involve travel to attend industry conferences or meet with external partners.

Qualifications: Education: Master s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field. Doctorate preferred. Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in career services, placement, or related fields, with at least 4 years in a leadership or managerial role. Skills: Strong networking and relationship-building abilities. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in data analysis and report generation. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Other Requirements: Experience in working with diverse student populations. Knowledge of industry trends and employment market dynamics.
