The Physical Therapist evaluates plans directs and administers medically prescribed physical therapy programs in the hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury or loss of body part. Assists the patient to reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities. The staff Physical Therapist also assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of those patients being treated by Physical Therapy Assistants and may be assigned to orient staff and students and to assume the duties and responsibilities of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.

Must Haves:

• Graduate of the American Physical Therapy Association training program
• Masters degree in physical therapy or D.P.T. or Certification in one specialty or
• Certification in one specialty: Cardiopulmonary Clinical Electrophysiologic Geriatric Neurologic Orthopedic
  Pediatric Sports Medicine California Children Services (CCS) paneled or Wound Specialist (CWS)
• California Physical Therapist License upon hire
• National Provider BLS American Heart Association upon hire
