Job Description:

• Assume the mantle of design authority and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the GCP cloud platform steering the course of its evolution.
• Collaborate actively with AWS and Azure cloud architects aligning and enhancing the platform and services provided creating a harmonious cloud ecosystem.
• Be the technical beacon guiding and advising team members and those from other business areas as required fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
• Engage directly with the business and business relationship managers clarifying requirements problem statements success criteria key assumptions dependencies and constraints. Your expertise will be key in transforming these elements into actionable strategies.
• Build bridges with regional and global colleagues on regional and global programmes aligning on standards and policies ensuring a unified approach.
• Work with CISO function to ensure solution designs meet both Global and regional policies and standards including consideration for clients PM40 framework as well as local requirements to ensure that all platforms and associated services are secure from the ground up.
• Continue to develop your career technology and communications skills and knowledge base. Communications and influencing skills are an important aspect of this role.
• Keep up to date with advances emerging technologies and trends across all Enterprise Architecture domains.
• Develop and maintain relationships with strategic partners and suppliers by attending conferences and by organising and attending regular supplier workshops.

Essential skills and experience:

• Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrable experience of hosting patterns in onpremises data centres and on public clouds specifically GCP including virtual servers virtual storage containers serverless computing resilience and recovery patterns RPO & RTO and including intersystem communications constructs including database access thirdparty gateways synchronous and asynchronous messaging API's Web Services transit networks directory services (AD) integration and more.
• Recent Cloud Architecture certification in GCP. Familiarity with other cloud providers (primarily AWS and Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge and demonstrable experience of cloud connectivity options load balancers network zoning and segregation proxies DNS DHCP IPAM QOS and more.
• Good working knowledge of network security principles and constructs including firewalls DLP MultiFactor Authentication and PAM.
• Demonstrable experience in bringing the above knowledge and experience to bear in creating high and low level designs and then communicating the reasons behind key and potentially contentious design constructs.
• Excellent written verbal and presentation communications skills; you will often find in situations where you have to describe problem statements solution options your analysis and recommendations to a mix of technical nontechnical and Clevel stakeholders and use strong influencing skills to gain consensus and an agreed way forward.
• Able to document and diagram solutions and technical ideas.
• Good supplier relationship management and communications skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective key stakeholder relationships.
