Press Brake Operator

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the press brake machine to bend form or straighten metal and other materials as specified by blueprints layout and templates. This role requires a keen attention to detail understanding of mechanical drawings and the ability to work with precision equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Setup and Operation:

Set up and operate press brake machines including adjustment of tooling and dies.

Select and install appropriate machine tooling for each job.

Program and input machine settings based on work orders and blueprints.

Quality Control:

Inspect materials and finished products for accuracy and quality.

Use measuring tools such as calipers micrometers and gauges to ensure precision.

Adjust machine settings to correct any deviations or defects.

Blueprint and Specification Interpretation:

Read and interpret blueprints schematics and work orders to determine job specifications and requirements.

Understand material types and thicknesses relevant to the job.
