Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to hire a Accountant for a 3 month contract based at the client in Mowbray.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records including journals ledgers and balance sheets.
- Process invoices expense reports and payments accurately and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with tax filings and compliance requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls and procedures.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
- Participate in monthend and yearend closing processes.
Requirements
- Diploma in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- 02 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance.
