Job Description
Job Overview: As a Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) specializing in electronics CQE will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and satisfaction for our customers by managing and enhancing the quality of products processes systems and documents. CQE will collaborate closely with internal crossfunctional teams and customers to address quality concerns drive root cause analysis and implement corrective /preventive actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role is pivotal in maintaining strong customer relationships and fostering a culture of quality excellence in the manufacturing line through continuous coaching & mentoring of the people and monitoring of the products & processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer qualityrelated inquiries and concerns.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers understanding their quality expectations and requirements.
- Align & ensure the flow down of all customerspecific requirements into internal documentations
2. Quality Issue Resolution:
- Investigate and analyze customerreported quality issues related to products shipped.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including engineering testing warehouse process and production to identify root causes and implement effective corrective & preventive actions.
3. Quality Assurance Planning:
- Develop and implement quality assurance plans for the products including inspection criteria testing protocols and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with customer quality standards.
- Early involvement and engagement during FAI process to understand the issues and demand actions prior to series builds.
4. Product Testing and Inspection:
- Oversee and manage the testing and inspection of product to ensure compliance with customer specifications / requirements.
- Coordinate with production and testing teams to implement robust quality control processes.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and process improvements.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective and preventive actions.
6. Customer Communication:
- Regularly communicate with customers to provide updates on quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure timely and transparent communication regarding the resolution of quality issues and the implementation of corrective actions.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of customer interactions quality investigations and corrective actions.
- Keep a track of customer complaints log customer returns log customer scores & customer audits.
- Generate regular reports on customer quality metrics and key performance indicators.
- Maintain yield reports / internal failure data tracking and actions in place.
- Track the ECN implementation and related documents updates and serial numbers
8. Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and customerspecific quality requirements for products & processes.
- Stay abreast of evolving standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree / Diploma in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in customer quality engineering particularly in the electronics industry.
- Strong understanding of electronic components manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problemsolving and root cause analysis & 8D expertise.
Other Skills Preferred:
- Certification in quality management (e.g. Lean Six Sigma AS Internal auditor etc).
- Familiarity with industryspecific quality standards and IPCA610 & JSTD Class3 requirements
- Experience with electronic testing equipment and tools.
- Ability to manage internal issues and keep regular internal communication with team and CFT
