L1 Network Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for L1 Network Support Technician who will be coordinating with the Network Administrators to ensure the smooth functioning of all IT networks at Data Centers.

Apart from your technical expertise you should be a team player and provide customer support. Your critical thinking abilities will help in recommending system improvement or corrective measures.

Responsibilities

• Installing cabling and managing computer networks
• Remote hand support / smart hand support.
• Hands on network device configurations such as switches / routers.
• Identifying and troubleshooting system issues and failures
• Inspecting LAN/WAN infrastructure and devices
• Fixing minor network glitches
• Evaluating and improving network infrastructure based on its performance
• Scheduling upgrades and data backups
• Offering technical support to customers and to the team members
• Ensuring smooth network connectivity and its operations
• Performing maintenance tasks
• Maintaining a record of network documentation
• Managing network directories and users

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field
• CCNA certification will be added advantage.
• Previous experience as a Network Technician or as an intern in an IT firm.
• Complete understanding of LAN/WAN networks and other relevant technologies
• Familiarity with different types of servers such as Application Server Cloud Server and File server
• Understanding of the working of routers fiber optics hubs and switches
• Knowhow of different virus protection software systems
• Knowledge of industry advancements and best practices
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
• Good communication skills
• Excellent technical skills and knowledge
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Ability to offer high levels of customer service
• Manual dexterity and familiarity with different hand toolscrimping scissors wire strippers
