Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Microservices Operations Lead to oversee the deployment monitoring and maintenance of our microservices architecture. As a crucial member of our technical team you will ensure the scalability reliability and efficiency of our microservicesbased applications supporting our company's growth and operational objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead incident response efforts related to microservices ensuring timely resolution of production issues.
• Establish monitoring frameworks for microservices to ensure realtime visibility into performance metrics (e.g. response time error rates).
• Establish and maintain robust monitoring systems for microservices ensuring proactive identification and resolution of performance issues.
• Document troubleshooting steps RCA’s and best practices for microservices operations.
• Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and provide training to team members on microservicesrelated technologies and practices.
• Analyze capacity scaling strategies for microservices based on projected growth and usage patterns.
• Coordinate with development teams to optimize microservices architecture for horizontal/vertical scalability and resource utilization.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in microservices technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability performance and maintainability of microservices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in managing operations for microservicesbased applications in a production environment.

• Deep understanding of containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes) and container orchestration.
• Proven experience on the Azure platform including indepth knowledge of services such as Azure DevOps Azure Functions Azure Service Bus Azure API Management Azure App Service Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Docker API Gateways and others related to Microservices.
• Handson experience on ITSM tools like ServiceNow JIRA etc.
• Proficiency in implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins GitLab CI/CD or Azure Pipelines.
• Solid understanding of monitoring tool Datadog (or similar like Prometheus Grafana ELK stack) and logging mechanisms.
• Frameworks Familiarity with frameworks such as Express.js Nest.js or others used to build APIs with Node.js.
• Knowledge on industry standards practices for microservices security compliance (eg. HIPAA GDPR etc)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience with microservices architecture patterns (e.g. API gateways service discovery circuit breakers).

Certification in cloud technologies (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect).

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
