JOB Title: Registered Nurse PSW Educator
Location: Mississauga for a training school
Start Date: September 1st 2024 (tentatively )
Position Type Part Time (25hrs / week) 56 hrs a day
Experience : Minimum 1 year Teaching experience
Responsibilities:
- Educational Program Development:
- Design develop and update educational programs for PSWs based on current healthcare practices and regulations.
- Create curriculum materials lesson plans and assessments aligned with learning objectives.
- Training and Instruction:
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for PSWs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Provide handson training in clinical settings to demonstrate best practices in patient care.
- Clinical Supervision:
- Supervise PSWs in clinical settings to ensure adherence to healthcare protocols and standards.
- Offer guidance and support to PSWs in their daytoday responsibilities.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Assess the learning needs of PSWs through evaluations and feedback mechanisms.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of PSWs in educational programs to ensure competency.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals including nurses physicians and administrators to integrate PSWs into the healthcare team effectively.
- Communicate regularly with PSWs providing updates on educational programs and professional development opportunities.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to PSW education and training.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay abreast of advancements in healthcare practices and educational methodologies to enhance PSW training programs continually.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: CNO Registration
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse preferably in settings involving PSWs.
- Experience in teaching mentoring or educating healthcare professionals particularly PSWs is an asset.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop educational materials and deliver effective training sessions.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
