Plans interprets and implements specific physical therapy treatment programs for patients. Registered physical therapist licensed in the state of practice. Maintains ethical and professional conduct at all times and adheres to APTA standards of practice for physical therapists.
Major Responsibilities
- Plan evaluate and modify patient treatment programs in coordination with physicians
- Administer treatment programs per physician instructions; clarify physician treatment instructions as needed
- Confer with physicians and medical staff on patient care issues
- Complete patient evaluations reevaluations progress notes daily notes and discharge summaries in a timely and compliant manner following guidelines established by ARA/ARTS
- Bill patients/insurance companies according to established procedures and rectify billing issues with Business Office staff
- Educate patients and families on proper care and use of home instructions and exercise programs
- Attend required meetings and inservices
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations and licensure
- Supervise PT aides as needed
- Perform periodic internal documentation audits as directed by the Director/Assistant Director of Rehabilitation or Executive Director
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by the Director/Assistant Director of Rehabilitation
Requirements
PT License
Requirements: Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program. A Physical Therapist currently licensed in Florida (or able to expeditiously begin licensing process) Exceptional communication skills. Ability to effectively multitask. Focused on quality patient care with a positive, compassionate perspective.
