Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly quarterly and yearend close processes.
- Provide detailed analysis and commentary on financial results.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process working with department heads to develop and manage budgets.
- Prepare and review budget forecasts and variance analysis.
- Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets.
- Compliance and Control:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws regulations and accounting standards (e.g. GAAP IFRS).
- Maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue costs budgets and actual expenditures.
- Coordinate audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Strategic Financial Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and longterm financial plans.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Analyze financial data and trends to identify risks and opportunities for growth.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the finance team including hiring training and performance management.
- Foster a collaborative and highperformance work environment.
- Develop and implement training programs for finance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Streamline and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement and maintain financial systems and software.
- Ensure proper maintenance of financial records and documentation.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor and manage the companys cash flow and liquidity.
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Develop and implement cash flow forecasting models.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis including profitability analysis cost analysis and investment analysis.
- Prepare adhoc financial reports and analyses as required by management.
- Support M&A activities including due diligence and integration.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 710 years of progressive accounting and finance experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
