Who are we IPS is an international company with inhouse Engineering and specialized services across Project Management for industries Automation and Architecture. EPCM expertise more than 10 countries around the globe but an entrepreneurial and teambuilding mindset.
With an average age of 32 we are encouraged to channel our curiosity and innovative thinking into projects.
Now we are looking for a Safety Coordinator to be working on projects in Flemish Region Belgium.
As an Health and safety Engineer you will be responsible for executing all investment projects in accordance with the planning while delivering high quality projects. Therefore we are looking for a customeroriented candidate with the ability to anticipate and define customer/project needs.
What is the role About
You shall be able to become the leader of the team in charge of the safety coordination and follow up for larger investment projects.
Within existing plants you shall be able to realize taskoriented risk analyses as well as verify the compliance of equipment with actual safety regulations. Setting up a safety action plan in order to organize dynamic risk management can be the next step.
The Safety Unit supplies several services:
- Legal services (site coordination according to local legislation
- Safety Engineering
- Fire prevention and protection
- Risk analysis
- ATEX
- HAZOP
- CE certification
- PED
- Environmental
- LOPA
- Seveso
Requirements
- Masters degree in engineering preferably.
- Safetyoriented certificate (master in safety & environmental management or similar) or proven relevant experience.
- Certificate A/B for Safety Coordinator
- 5 years experience as Safety Coordinator.
- Knowledge of project management systems and tools (e.g. MS Office MS Project)
- Experience developing projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of HSE legislation (Health Environment and Safety) in Belgium and especially applicable to industrial projects. You are competent in at least some of the safety engineering skills as mentioned above.

- Travel availability in Belgium.
