Position Overview:

Our Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Counselor to join their team. The School Counselor will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to students helping them navigate academic social and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students to address academic social and emotional concerns

Develop and implement counseling programs and workshops to promote student wellbeing and success

Collaborate with teachers parents and other school staff to identify and address students needs

Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students strengths and areas for improvement

Create and maintain confidential student records and documentation

Refer students to external resources and support services as needed

Stay updated on current trends and best practices in school counseling and implement them in daily work

Participate in schoolwide initiatives and events to promote a positive school culture and foster a sense of community among students staff and parents

Requirements:

Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field

Valid state certification or licensure in School Counseling

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a School Counselor

Strong understanding of child and adolescent development and mental health issues

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with students parents and school staff

Familiarity with relevant laws regulations and ethical standards in school counseling

Proficiency in using technology and counseling software

Passion for helping students achieve their full potential
