Overview:
The Interior Design Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing interior design projects ensuring their successful completion within schedule and budget. This role involves coordinating with clients design teams and contractors to deliver highquality interior design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage interior design projects from conception to completion
- Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements and objectives
- Develop project plans schedules and budgets
- Oversee the selection and procurement of materials furnishings and fixtures
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Lead and manage a team of interior designers and project staff
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise
- Provide regular project updates to clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with architects engineers and contractors
- Review design drawings and specifications
- Conduct site visits and inspections
- Manage project documentation and recordkeeping
- Ensure client satisfaction and project quality
- Manage project budgets and financial reporting
- Implement effective project risk management strategies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Interior Design or related field
- Proven experience in interior design project management
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Excellent understanding of design principles and spatial arrangements
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate project teams
- Solid understanding of budgeting and financial management
- Detailoriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices
- Professional certification in project management is a plus
- Experience with AutoCAD SketchUp or other design software
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
