Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to make a significant impact Our client a leading EPCM company based in Calgary is seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join their team.
Role Overview: Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will play a key role in electrical engineering design within project teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing electrical systems such as power distribution generators lighting and control systems ensuring compliance with codes and client specifications
- Performing electrical calculations including load flow short circuit analysis and protective device coordination
- Developing and reviewing detailed engineering drawings schematics single line diagrams wiring diagrams and layouts
- Preparing Bills of Material
- Conducting site inspections and witnessing the commissioning of electrical and control system installations
- Writing technical reports and interacting professionally with clients
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Managing small projects within budget scope and schedule

Requirements
- Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration with APEGA
- Minimum of 5 years of professional electrical engineering experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (Microstation experience is an asset)
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office applications
- Strong problemsolving skills with minimal supervision
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of commercial industrial and utility environments
- Indepth knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution and the Canadian Electrical Code
- Experience with industrial and utility power systems underground distribution and handson field experience with power delivery equipment is an asset

Qualifications: Engineering Design & Drafting Technology graduate or equivalent education/experience. Experience in piping process equipment in a fabrication facility is an asset. Knowledge of ASME/ANSI B31.3, CADWorx, and AutoCAD. Comprehensive understanding of P&IDs and piping layouts. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Location: Rocky View County, Alberta (near SE Calgary) Reliable transportation required (no public transit service) Schedule: Full-time, 8-hour shifts In-person work
