Title: Business Analyst
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Richmond VA

Note: Hybrid Role.

Job Description:
  • This position is primarily responsible for business analysis process improvement and requirements documentation of DEB business processes that will inform the design and development of systems for BITS Modernization efforts.
  • The selected candidate in this position will work closely with stakeholders DEB Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) DEB Agency customers( Agencies ) and DGS Information Systems and Services (ISS) development teams.
  • The Business Analyst will report to the Business Owner to ensure business requirements enhancements modifications and newly identified business initiatives are thoroughly documented for successful implementation of Information Technology solution(s).
  • This position should expect to work between30 and 40 hours per week.
Required Skills:
  • Experience in system design and development with a focus on process improvement and business and technical requirements gathering
  • Experience workflow processes
  • Experience developing test plans use cases and performing quality assurance validation user acceptance testing and regression testing
  • Experience in the development of training materials and conducting user training
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills The successful candidate should be a selfstarter with the ability to drive the analysis effort
Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of building and construction management systems including compliance budgeting and permitting workflows and practices.
  • Project admin experience in commercial/institutional construction.
  • Knowledge of public construction project terminologies permitting and procurement standards.
  • IT application/systems development and/or management experience.
  • Ability to manage small to moderate scope projects.
