Job Responsibilities: Manager Finance & Admin (Bayfield Food Ingredients)
Financial Management:
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting cycle including accounts payable & receivable payroll general ledger and financial reporting.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet income statement cash flow statement) according to GAAP standards.
- Develop and maintain annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide management with insights for informed decisionmaking.
- Manage cash flow and ensure the company maintains sufficient liquidity.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure data integrity.
- Work with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Stay uptodate on industry trends and best practices in finance and accounting.
Cost Control & Reduction:
- Partner with department heads to identify and implement costsaving measures across all functional areas.
- Develop and implement a standardized expense reporting system to improve expense tracking and cost control.
- Conduct regular reviews of spending patterns and identify opportunities to reduce costs without impacting quality or efficiency.
- Negotiate better pricing with vendors and suppliers.
- Analyze production data to identify and minimize waste.
Administrative Operations:
- Manage all administrative tasks related to office operations including facilities management
- Ensure the smooth running of the office environment to support employee productivity.
- Develop and implement systems and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage and maintain company data and records according to best practices.
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with vendors and suppliers.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Stay uptodate on changes in accounting standards and taxation laws.
- Prepare and submit all required financial reports to government agencies on a timely basis.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Close the books on a monthly basis according to established procedures.
- Generate accurate and timely financial reports including management reports variance analyses and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze financial data to identify trends risks and opportunities.
- Present financial information to management in a clear and concise manner.
- Use financial data to support strategic decisionmaking.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in crossfunctional projects as needed.
- Represent the finance and admin department in meetings with other departments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g. sales operations human resources) and external partners (e.g. banks auditors).
