Job Title: IT Acquisition Specialist (US Citizen Only)
Location: Albany NY(Hybrid)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire IT procurement process from identifying needs to contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure costeffective and timely acquisition of IT products and services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and anticipate IT needs.
- Evaluate and select vendors based on quality reliability and costeffectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to secure the best possible terms.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement regulations and policies.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and vendor performance.
- Monitor market trends and stay updated on new IT products and services.
- Provide support and guidance to internal teams on procurement processes and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Acquisition Specialist or in a similar procurement role.
- Strong knowledge of IT products and services including hardware software and cloud services.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g. CPIM CPSM).
- Experience with government or regulated industry procurement processes.
- Prior Federal Experience Will be a Plus.
