Job Purpose:
The role of Tax Manager is to oversee and manage the organizations taxrelated activities in order to ensure compliance with tax laws and
regulations while optimizing the companys tax position. The Tax Manager plays a crucial role in developing and implementing tax strategies providing guidance on financial decisions to minimize tax liability and supporting overall financial goals.

Responsible to/Report to : Acting Group Chief Financial Officer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation filing and payment of all corporate taxes including income tax and other applicable taxes.
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax positions for the company.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the companys overall tax liability.
  • Provide guidance on the tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to incorporate tax implications into financial reporting and disclosure documents.
  • Identify and assess potential tax risks and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Work with internal external auditors and external tax consultants to support taxrelated matters.
  • Collaborate with various departments including finance legal and operations to understand business activities and provide taxrelated guidance.
  • Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage and lead a team of tax professionals providing guidance training and support as needed.
  • Provide advice and guidance on tax matters to senior management and other departments within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field. A masters degree or CPA qualification may be preferred.
  • Has at least 68 years of experience in tax with a focus on corporate taxation.
  • Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is often required.
  • Indepth knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate complex tax concepts to nonexperts
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
