Position: Litigation Assistant Commercial Insurance Property Claims

Position Overview:
The Litigation Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team with the preparation management and resolution of commercial insurance property claims. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling such claims excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation including the preparation and organization of case files.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case strategy.
- Draft review and edit legal documents such as pleadings motions and discovery responses.
- Coordinate and manage the scheduling of depositions hearings and other courtrelated activities.
- Communicate with clients witnesses and experts to obtain necessary information and documentation.
- Maintain and update case management databases and ensure all files are accurately documented and accessible.
- Assist in trial preparation including the organization of exhibits witness lists and trial binders.
- Monitor and manage case deadlines and ensure timely submission of filings.
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones managing calendars and processing mail related to litigation cases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in legal studies paralegal studies or a related field (preferred not required).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation assistant preferably with a focus on commercial insurance property claims.
- Strong understanding of legal procedures court rules and litigation processes.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic document management systems.
- Familiarity with state and federal court systems and procedures.
