Lead Software Engineer - Belgium

Position: Lead Software Engineer

Location: Remote in Belgium

Employment type: Fulltime

REQUIREMENTS:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor or Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering with strong coding knowledge in VB.NET C# C or at least one of these programming languages.
• Should have more than 10 years of experience in software development in the field of Chemical Engineering.
• Should have strong process engineering fundamentals knowledge while working in the areas of Upstream/Midstream Oil & Gas/LNG/Gas Processing Refining PetroChemicals Sustainability and Hydrocarbon Engineering related areas.
• Should have handson experience in writing extensions or software development for commercially available process engineering flowsheeting software like UniSim Design Aspen Hysys PetroSim or other similar tools.
• Should have handson experience of using commercially available process engineering flowsheeting software like UniSim Design Aspen Hysys PetroSim or other similar tools.
• Should have strong handson knowledge of Safety System Design Rating and Simulation Products such as Flare Blowdown (emergency depressurization) & Relief device sizing & rating. Should be able to work as SME (subject matter expert) in a safetyrelated area.
• Should be able to contribute in creating a detailed functional specification including equations to be used and strategies for the development of new unit operations features & functionalities in commercially available process engineering flowsheeting software.
• Strong knowledge & experience to guide and mentor software developers who have coding skills however are not chemical engineers.
