MIG Aluminum Welder

Skyline Products has designed and manufactured sign solutions for the transportation and petroleum industries for more than 40 years! We are an essential business and we are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder for our night shift Monday through Friday 4:00 PM 12:30AM and for our first shift 7:30Am 4:00PM.

Summary

A Skyline Welder lays out fits and welds/fabricates aluminum components to assemble structural forms.

You do not need to be certified to weld however you must pass a weld test and be extremely accurate in reading a tape measure. Work experience in aluminum MIG welding required.

Requirements:

• Selects equipment and plans layout assembly and welding
• Lay out positions aligns and fits components together
• Bolts clamps and tackwelds parts to secure in position for welding
• Sets up equipment and welds parts using MIG welding processes
• Assembles parts by bolting and riveting
• Repairs products by dismantling straightening reshaping and reassembling parts
• AWS D 1.2 Aluminum Certification credentials : not required but preferred
• Aluminum Fabrication Skills
• Other duties may be assigned
• Pass a weld test background check and drug test.
• Regularly performs tasks that will require heavy lifting carrying and moving materials weighing 50 100 lbs. or more off the ground up and overhead

The hours for this position are 4:00pm to 12:30am Monday through Friday.

Compensation

1st Shift: $20 $24 an hour
2nd Shift: $20 $24 an hour $2.00 shift differential
