DevOps Engineer

This is a remote position.

Work with the engineering team to configure support monitor and improve the security

posture of our Big Data platform and Cloud infrastructure

Research and Implement securityfocused tools to defend our infrastructure &

applications from risks

Ensure that security requirements and considerations are woven into the development of

each system

Design security controls for an "infrastructure as code" service model

Improve the signal to noise ratio from alerts and work with DevOps to generate

meaningful events

Perform routine security posture assessments of the infrastructure and build a resolution

plan around any deficiencies/areas for improvement

Develop and maintain the security architecture diagrams

Participate in oncall rotation respond to alerts troubleshoot and resolve problems

Weighin on and drive the designing and engineering of security solutions across the

business

Create and automate security controls in an Agile CI/CD environment

Assist developers in static dynamic and opensource code analysis

Drive creation and collection of the information security KPIs

Develop training and educational literature to educate enterprise workforce on best

practices

Supports the designing testing and implementation of complex security solutions to

meet security and regulatory requirements for cloud environments

Consults with development and operational teams to securely design applications and

services following industry best practices

Requirements

Experience in at least a Public Cloud (AWS or GCP)

Knowledge of information security risk management and data privacy within a cloud environment and consumerfacing applications

Knowledge of security capabilities and constraints related to deploying cloud native and multicloud applications and infrastructure

Good Understanding of firewalls threat prevention and detection and application security principles

Good understanding of applied cryptography and Public Key Infrastructures (PKI) Good understanding of identity management user authentication and authorization principles

Good understanding of identity management user authentication and authorization principles

Demonstrated technical competency in security engineering based on handson experience or relevant qualifications

Demonstrated effectiveness working in a multitimezone environment

Ability to develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organization boundaries

BA/BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

AWScertified security engineers will be highly preferred
