About the Role:We are looking for a Leading Hand or established Carpenter to work on Commercial projects in Melbourne. Our client is a privately-owned Australian business that is committed to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients and building strong relationships. Their projects range across commercial, retail, childcare, and fit-out sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong trade background in Carpentry and will be responsible for overseeing daily on-site operations and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of on-site trades and subcontractors.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site by enforcing safety regulations and industry standards.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of project plans and schedules.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify any potential issues or improvements.
- Communicate effectively with the project manager, site manager, and other stakeholders.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to team members as needed.
- Manage materials and equipment to ensure efficient use and minimal waste.
Qualifications:- Trade background in carpentry is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Carpentry and / or Supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in using construction tools and equipment.
- A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
