Senior Accountant

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (Permanent)
Our client an established locally owned and operating organization is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is an incredible opportunity with the potential to grow into a management or Division Controller role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting responsibilities to ensure smooth financial operations of the company
  
• Ensure all financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  
• Create new monthly journal entries updating and maintaining general ledger
  
• Perform regular reconciliations to ensure accurate and precise accounts are being kept
  
• Conduct financial analysis and create detailed financial reports of findings
  
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
  
• Actively participate in monthly financial meetings by presenting reports
  
• Prepare revenue forecasts and expense estimates providing insight and guidance from an accounting perspective
  
• Train and mentor staff on accounting processes procedures and systems
  
• Actively participate in process improvement by providing educated recommendations to management team
  
• Remain up to date with local state and federal laws/regulations
  
• Ensure compliance is always maintained across all accounts and within reporting systems
  
• Work well independently as well as in a team environment
  
• Complete special projects as necessary
  
• Other duties as assigned/as necessary
  
  

Details:

• Position is full time direct hire
  
• 100% inoffice standard 4045 hour work weeks
  
• $90000 $110000 annually depending on experience
  
• Bachelor s degree in Accounting
  
• CPA preferred
  
• 3 years accounting experience
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Excel
  
• Excellent accounting and math skills
  
• Strong attention to detail
  
• Work well under deadlines
  
• Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  
• Strong analytical skills
  
• Strong organization skills and time management skills
  
• Selfmotivated
  
• Relocation not available
