Position Overview

Lapis Group’s regional office in Amman is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the implementation of diverse projects spanning education, media, communications, and campaigns. This pivotal role requires a dynamic manager with a strong background in managing projects that drive social change. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in overseeing projects focused on education, media, and strategic communications in Jordan and the broader region. They will ensure projects align with Lapis Group's mission and meet strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Project Leadership: Lead the comprehensive planning, execution, and resource management of projects from initial conceptualization to successful delivery, ensuring strategic alignment and continuous stakeholder engagement.

Stakeholder and Partner Engagement: Actively engage with stakeholders, including community leaders, partners, donors, and other relevant entities, to ensure alignment and support for projects.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting: Design and implement robust monitoring and evaluation systems to assess project performance and impact rigorously. Use insights to refine project strategies and report progress to senior management and external partners.

Budget Oversight: Oversee complex project budgets with precision, ensuring transparent financial management, optimal resource allocation, and strict compliance with all financial regulations and donor requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, International Relations, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management. Experience managing projects with strong elements of communications, campaigns and/or media production preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in challenging environments.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in multiple languages considered a plus.
• Deep understanding of the socio-political dynamics in regions similar to those served by Lapis Group.
