Job Description:

The Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring a hazardfree work environment and coordinating the companys safety measures. This role includes ensuring compliance with OSHA DEQ and DOT regulations tracking DART and TRIR and identifying leading indicators. The Safety Specialist also conducts incident investigations reporting and corrective actions. Additionally they act as a safety resource guide and partner for the company.

Responsibilities and Skills:

Additionally the safety specialist is responsible for conducting safety inspections recommending corrective measures and performing incident investigations. They instruct employees on safety procedures conduct facility inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards. They also provide enterprisewide safety services maintain KPA deliver EHS metrics and conduct safety training. Key skills include exceptional customer service leadership organizational and problemsolving abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel. The role requires analyzing company needs planning and implementing strategies preparing reports making decisions under pressure and managing multiple projects while demonstrating integrity and effective communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

An associate or bachelors degree in safety or a related field or 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a safety focus is required. A minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing safety is preferred. Knowledge of OSHA DEQ DOT and other regulatory requirements and their application is essential.
