Project Lead

Qatar Airways is looking for an IT Project Lead who is responsible for leading the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) factory and other similar IT projects. This role involves leading IT application development, implementation (including both in-house developed and 3rd party vendor products), and support projects for the assigned business unit. Key activities include analyzing and documenting business requirements, providing technical leadership in software design and development, managing the overall testing processes, ensuring quality of deliverables, supporting the business unit during the hyper-care period and providing continued ongoing support. Roles and Responsibilities • Work with business units to understand business processes and identify use cases for Robotic Process Automation and other IT projects • Evaluate and analyze business automation needs and provide suitable business / technical solutions based on the standardized RPA platform used at Qatar Airways. • Manage the delivery of subprojects or small systems and solutions, within the established procedures, quality standards and methods to achieve the targets of schedule, cost, quality, and ROI. • Lead the project team for collecting, understanding and documenting business requirements (functional and non-functional), project effort estimation, project scheduling and translating those into functional and system design specifications. • Manage the assigned IT projects through the use of proven Software Development Life Cycle processes, procedures and tools to include planning, coordinating all project activities, project status meetings, system specifications design and review, technical review, system testing, system implementation, post implementation reviews and ongoing application support. • Ensure on time support activities to the deployed applications or bots. Respond to any service degradations or unplanned downtime quickly and efficiently as per stipulated SLAs. • Develop and maintain detailed project plan and other associated project artefacts including project resourcing, task allocation and monitoring • Provide Technical Leadership to the team by reviewing system design and development artefacts to ensure that they are fit for purpose • Closely support the team carrying out maintenance and support to deployed automations. Step in if necessary to deliver necessary fixes to resume operations if necessary. • Responsible for reporting project status to IT Management, coordination with multiple stakeholders within IT and business, business unit project sponsor and other key stakeholders, as needed.
