ICD-10 Medical Billing And Coding Professional

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced ICD10 Medical Billing and Coding Professional to join our team on a parttime basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing and coding procedures as well as excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD10 coding system

Verify and submit insurance claims to thirdparty payers

Follow up on outstanding claims and denials to ensure timely reimbursement

Maintain uptodate knowledge of coding and billing regulations and changes

Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve coding and billing issues

Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations

Work closely with the billing and collections team to ensure accurate and timely billing processes

Assist in training and mentoring new coding and billing staff as needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Medical Billing and Coding preferred

Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding preferably in a healthcare setting

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required

Strong knowledge of ICD10 coding system and medical terminology

Proficient in using electronic medical records and billing software

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
