Positions Contributions to Work Group:

This position is in support of $10M in external Caterpillar growth in the OEM Undercarriage area.

Reason/motivation for request:

This position is addition supporting the new business opportunity.

Why this Role

This role is key for OEM Solutions external growth targets and is aligned to our strategy which has doubled our sales twice since 2018 from $75M total sales to nearly $350M in sales last year.

Typical Day or Week in the Role

Typical tasks will be creating design concepts for Undercarriage Arrangements leading design reviews and then completing the releasing and detailing.

Interaction with team: All design will be completed under OEM design control lead and will interact with other OEM engineering and extended team at BHDC and factory.

Work environment:

Fast paced small team environments with close interaction with the OEMs

Education & Experience Required:

BSME AG and/or 810 years relevant experience

Technical Skills

• Caterpillar design detailing & releasing experience
• Creo / Solid modeling experience
• Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings 1E Specifications and GD&T.

• Structures Design Experience
• Hydraulics Experience

Soft Skills

Emphasis on initiative and selfstarting tasks

• Willingness to work with Global Customers Suppliers and Process Partners
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability troubleshoot Hydraulic Structure and Mechanical systems
• Strong analytical skills

Disqualifiers/Red Flags:

• No Caterpillar Experience (need someone that can hit the ground running)
• Less than 5 years engineering experience regardless of degree level
• Poor communication skills or history of issues working in collaborative team environment.
