Accounting AR/AP Specialist

Compensation: $70000 $80000 per year

RVP Consultants is seeking meticulous and organized Accounting AR/AP Specialists to work in the disaster restoration industry. The Accounting AR/AP Specialist is essential for managing the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions ensuring financial accuracy and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Process and manage customer invoices ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts performing collections activities as necessary.

• Reconcile AR accounts and maintain accurate records of all transactions.

• Prepare AR aging reports and present findings to management.

Accounts Payable (AP):

• Review verify and process vendor invoices for payment.

• Ensure timely payment of invoices resolving any discrepancies with vendors.

• Reconcile AP accounts and maintain accurate records of all transactions.

• Prepare and process weekly check runs wire transfers and ACH payments.

Financial Reporting:

• Assist with monthend and yearend closing processes.

• Prepare financial reports related to AR and AP activities.

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records for auditing purposes.

Compliance and Procedures:

• Ensure compliance with company policies accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

• Implement and maintain effective internal controls over AR/AP processes.

• Continuously improve AR/AP procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in AR/AP or general accounting roles.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Experience in the disaster restoration industry is a plus.
