Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS services RDBMS ETL processes and AWS Glue (or other ETL tools). This role involves working closely with crossfunctional teams to design implement and optimize data solutions that support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Integration and ETL Development: Design develop and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue or other ETL tools to efficiently process and transform data from various sources.
• Data Storage and Management: Manage and optimize data storage solutions including RDBMS and data lakes on AWS ensuring high performance and scalability.
• AWS Services Utilization: Leverage a wide range of AWS services such as S3 Redshift Lambda and Glue to build robust data architectures.
• Data Modeling and Schema Design: Develop data models and schemas to support business analytics and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on AWS services and ETL processes.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in AWS services particularly S3 Redshift Lambda and Glue.
  • Strong experience with RDBMS (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL Oracle) and SQL.
  • Expertise in ETL tools and processes with handson experience using AWS Glue or other ETL tools like Informatica Talend or Apache NiFi.
  • Familiarity with data modeling schema design and performance optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python Java or Scala.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark) is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detailoriented with a focus on data quality and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Developer or Data Analytics specialty.
• Experience with additional AWS services such as EMR Athena and Kinesis.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools.
