Cloud security Engineer

Overview

Key responsibilities

• Design implement and maintain security controls in cloud environments.
• Conduct security assessments and risk analysis of cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in the cloud environment.
• Implement and manage identity and access management solutions for cloud services.
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures specific to cloud environments.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate security best practices and standards into cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to cloud security.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of cloud security technologies and tools.
• Conduct security awareness and training programs for cloud users and stakeholders.
• Manage and respond to security audit and assessment activities in the cloud environment.
• Perform regular security assessments to detect and prevent potential threats or vulnerabilities.
• Document security configurations and processes for cloud systems and environments.
• Communicate and report on securityrelated incidents and risks to stakeholders and management.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and continuity plans for cloud systems.

Required qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
• Professional certification in cloud security or related areas such as AWS Certified Security Specialty or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
• Proven experience in designing and implementing security measures for cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and infrastructure including IaaS PaaS and SaaS models.
• Proficiency in cloud security technologies and tools such as AWS Security Hub Azure Security Center and Google Cloud Security Command Center.
• Experience with risk management and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 NIST and PCI DSS.
• Ability to conduct security assessments and penetration testing in cloud environments.
• Excellent knowledge of identity and access management principles and protocols in cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of encryption key management and secure storage practices in cloud systems.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to stay updated with emerging security threats and trends in cloud security.
• Proven analytical and problemsolving abilities in cloud securityrelated challenges.
• Experience with scripting and automation for security tasks in cloud environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic cloud environment.
• Experience with cloudbased compliance governance and audit processes.
