Why This Role is Important to Us

The Lead Software Engineer plays a critical role in driving the development and maintenance of software solutions encompassing integrations web applications APIs ETL processes and batch job orchestration across all systems and functional areas (e.g. clinical claims enrollment reporting finance corporate). This role combines handson development with technical leadership ensuring the application of best practices to deliver highquality reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Development: Guide mentor and lead software engineers ensuring adherence to CCAs standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Architecture and Strategy: Contribute to application architecture and strategy offering vision anticipating problems and solving issues related to systems analysis reporting and application development.

Project Management: Oversee assigned technology domains projects and solutions including project planning execution release planning change management and production support.

Collaboration: Work closely with IT and business teams to align engineering solutions with business goals. Provide advice and assistance to business users for effective use of applications and IT.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging software engineering trends tools and techniques. Drive quality excellence and continuous improvements.

Communication: Provide regular status updates communicate issues and risks and escalate as necessary. Lead and document production support activities including emergency support and rootcause analysis.

Education and Certification Requirements

Required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Management Information Systems or a related field.

Preferred: Masters degree and Azure certifications.

Experience Requirements

MustHaves:

Minimum of 3 years leading a technical team.

At least 8 years of handson software engineering experience.

Proven experience leading teams in software engineering frontend web development system integrations API development backend batch processing and/or ETL.

5 years of experience with C# and .NET.

5 years of cloud experience preferably with Azure.

NicetoHaves:

Experience in the healthcare industry.

Familiarity with DomainDriven Design.

Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).

5 years in Agile DevOps SDLC and ITSM methodologies.

Experience with web applications eventdriven integrations and APIs.

Proficiency in MSSQL TSQL and PLSQL Server.

Experience with web security protocols and systems (HTTP OAuth 2.0 SAML LDAP).

5 years of experience with Scaled Agile.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Required:

Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS Azure GCS) and related tools.

Expertise in project estimation work breakdown structures and staffing forecasts.

Proven ability to deliver highquality maintainable software solutions.

Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Proficiency in software design patterns REST eventdriven integrations and microservices.

Ability to work under pressure and meet commitments.

Advanced troubleshooting skills and familiarity with industry best practices in software development and DevOps.

Desired:

Proficiency in C# and .NET programming.

Experience with DomainDriven Design and integration.

Background in developing software solutions for healthcare or regulated environments.

Knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scaled Agile) and tools (Atlassian Jira).

Experience with Azure Data Factory Python and Salesforce.

Azure cloud certifications.
