Overview

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure computer hardware software systems networks printers and scanners.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
• Resolve technical issues and provide timely user support.
• Ensure the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
• Manage and maintain all cloud services including software updates and backup recovery.
• Conduct regular system audits and ensure data security and integrity.
• Participate in IT infrastructure design and development processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to plan and implement IT projects.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of servers and data storage systems.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all IT infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide solutions.
• Conduct regular hardware and software maintenance activities.
• Research and recommend innovative and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
• Provide oncall support for IT infrastructure issues and emergencies.
• Assist in IT asset management and procurement activities.

Required qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure support maintenance and implementation.
• Knowledge of networking security and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cloud computing and services such as AWS Azure or GCP.
• Understanding of storage solutions and data backup/recovery processes.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A Network Security or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) are a plus.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet Chef or Ansible.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
