A highly trained Maternity nurse/Newborn Care Specialist is sought for a lovely family based in California US with a new baby due at the end of November. This role will be for a minimum period of 34 months commencing mid November. The first few days will include meetings with other team members planning setting up the baby s room and organising supplies.

The position involves a 4person rota working one week on and one week off. The Maternity nurse will work nights.

Requirements:

US citizens or green card holders only.

Highly trained and specialising in newborn care.

Able to assist the mother and ensure the baby is in a routine and sleeping through the night.

Willing to sleep in the baby s room during the night on a shift rota with the daily nanny.

Duties include:

Educating and supporting parents

Creating a smooth transition for the family during the newborn stage.

Maintaining a thorough log of infant feeding sleeping and other health behavioural and developmental concerns.

Soothing babies using proven techniques and skills.

Providing direct care for the newborn including bathing nappy changing bottle preparation and bottle feeding.

Sleep training and helping the baby establish a regular sleep schedule.

Organising and maintaining the nursery and all supplies related to baby care such as breast pumps bottles dummies and baby laundry.

Willing to train the longterm baby nanny working alongside you.

Additional Information:

Flights to and from home are provided.

No travel will be required.
