As a Kitchen Manager at our home your role will involve:

• Being accountable for the successful and effective operation of the kitchen including food production menu planning staff management supplies presentation/service and record management
• Compliance with quality and safety standards
• Prioritising the culinary experience for our residents focussing on inclusivity by ensuring all residents can participate in enjoying a varied and highquality diet prepared in accordance with their individual needs
• Inspiring and mentoring junior kitchen staff to maintain a reputation of culinary excellence within the home

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.

What are we looking for

Essentially we are seeking applications from experienced Chefs who understand the importance of the mealtime experience for our residents and as such will consistently leave no stone unturned in delivering fantastic nutritious and varied meals to all those living at our home.

• Candidates should be communicative hardworking and suitably qualified individuals with excellent leadership skills and significant proven experience of heading up kitchen environments
• Excellent menuplanning and budgetary management skills are key as are a good working knowledge of nutrition and dietetics
• City & Guilds Diploma in Professional Cookery 7100 Levels 1 & 2 or equivalent and a Basic Food/Hygiene Certificate are highly desirable
• Knowledge of EHO Regulations IDDSI diets/texturemodified food & dysphagia HACCAP and COSHH are highly desirable
