Overview

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain MRI equipment to produce highquality diagnostic images.
• Position patients and adjust equipment parameters to obtain optimal images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to review images and ensure diagnostic quality.
• Assist in the administration of contrast agents and follow safety protocols during imaging procedures.
• Document patient information maintain accurate records and adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Provide patient education and support to ensure understanding and cooperation during imaging procedures.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for MRI procedures.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and protocols to protect patients staff and self from potentially harmful exposure.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the MRI suite and equipment for optimal functionality.

Required qualifications

• Associates degree in radiologic technology or related field.
• Certification in MRI technology from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as an MRI Technologist.
• Minimum of X years of experience in MRI imaging and patient care.
• Proficiency in operating MRI equipment and understanding technical parameters.
• Thorough knowledge of anatomy physiology and medical terminology relevant to MRI procedures.
• Capability to assess and respond to patient conditions during imaging procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
• Adherence to safety regulations and protocols related to magnetic fields and radiation exposure.
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and highpressure environment.
• Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on advancements in MRI technology.
• Strong critical thinking and problemsolving abilities in a healthcare setting.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as needed.
