Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain efficient and reliable Java code
• Collaborate with team members to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction visuals and experience
• Conduct software analysis programming testing and debugging
• Develop and maintain databases and APIs
• Ensure continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies
• Optimize existing software and improve performance
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
• Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
• Support and maintain existing software products applications and interfaces
• Assist in the collection and documentation of users requirements development of user stories and estimates
• Prepare reports manuals and other documentation on the status operation and maintenance of software
• Participate in peerreviews of solution designs and related code
• Package and support deployment of releases
• Work with teammates in the migration of legacy applications to current Java technologies

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience as a Java Developer or similar role
• Strong experience with Java J2EE JSP EJB Servlets JDBC Hibernate and Spring
• Experience with relational databases SQL and ORM technologies
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Experience with testdriven development
• Knowledge of software development best practices including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment
• Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent problemsolving and communication skills
• Experience with RESTful web services and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with Git Maven and Jenkins
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Keen to learn new technologies and stay uptodate with industry trends
