C&N Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Maintenance and Estates Manager for a 4* Hotel based in Milton Keynes. This stunning family run hotel also has a spa restaurants bar and gym. This is a fantastic venue to work.
We are looking for a current Maintenance Manager from either a hotel or care home background that must have a handson attitude. You will be managing a team of 4 maintenance engineers.
Main duties:
- To manage and coordinate all maintenance and Health & Safety related work within all areas of the hotel and grounds in a timely manner to ensure that the property is maintained to the company standards.
- To keep health and safety records and property audits up to date in a timely manner.
- To be responsible for and proactively manage all Health & Safety related monthly weekly and annual contracts regarding the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel.
- To maintain contracts and chase contractors to ensure that all service visits records paperwork and certification are always compliant with legislation in all areas of the hotel and grounds.
Responsibilities/Duties
- To ensure that all reactive and planned preventative work is handled effectively while working with all departments within the property including leisure and kitchens.
- To develop support and lead the property maintenance team.
- To ensure full compliance with statutory and current legislation and be responsible for ensuring compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
- To be responsible for waste and recycling collections and maintaining the yard area.
- To support the development of all property processes and procedures to ensure standards and consistency are maintained.
- To ensure there is minimum disruption and highquality standards are maintained throughout the property.
- To support property audits within the hotel and complete any action points in a timely manner.
- To manage the maintenance stock levels and inventory appropriately.
- To be fully aware of all facilities and take every opportunity to ensure the property is maintained to an exceptional standard.
- To identify issues and address them in a proactive manner.
- To ensure effective record keeping for all weekly monthly and annual issues across the property.
- To attend communication meetings where appropriate to represent the department.
- To liaise with external suppliers ensuring the supply of their goods and services meet the requirements of the property and charges are passed on accordingly.
- To work closely with the management team to ensure excellent service.
- To support the hotel environmental initiatives and policies in a proactive manner and work towards new and improved sustainability programs.
- To ensure that quality standards are maintained.
- To attend any training meetings as required for the better performance of your role.
- To comply with company and statutory procedures relating to fire hygiene health and safety.
- To undertake any reasonable request from a member of the senior management team.
