About LLF

Language and Learning Foundation () is a New Delhibased nonprofit organization with the vision of enhancing equitable student learning especially language and literacy development through the professional development of teachers and teacher educators building/sharing knowledge and implementing projects in collaboration with state governments. LLF currently works with 7 state governments across the country.

Language and Learning Foundation (LLF) is a New Delhi based nonprofit organisation with the vision of enhancing equitable student learning especially language and literacy development through professional development of teachers and teacher educators building/sharing knowledge and implementing projects in collaboration with state governments. LLF is a systemfocused and impactdriven organization dedicated to addressing the foundational learning crisis in collaboration with the national and state governments in India. Over the past 8 years we have improved foundational learning outcomes of 850000 children and classroom processes of 250000 teachers and teacher educators across 8 states. Position Summary:

The Associate Director Strategy and Learning will work directly with the Executive Director and engage at a strategic level with all teams within LLF. The incumbent will be responsible for designing strategy and roadmaps for projects and teams managing work across multiple areas and supporting in the process of business development. This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys intellectual challenges and thrives in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Organizational Development:

  • Collaborate with the Founder and Senior Leadership on developing the strategic plan/framework for the organization and the associated operating plan.
  • Manage key organizational processes for executing LLFs strategy including strategic reviews on a monthly and quarterly basis board meetings and external meetings.
  • Support the Founder by researching and synthesizing the latest findings or other relevant material to define or develop different areas within LLF.
  • Solve key strategic questions for the organization and assist senior leadership in building and developing LLFs work areas.
  • Create and maintain crosscollaboration and integration between horizontals and verticals to enable leadership success.
  • Drive operational support and provide strategic inputs on highprofile projects.

Business Development:

  • Support the Fundraising (FR) team in building a business development plan in coordination with the state program team including expansion plans to new geographies.
  • Develop proposals with program teams and coordinate with state agencies and fundraising team/donors.
  • Assist in fundraising efforts including strategizing with LLF US Charity and reporting to marquee donors.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree.

  • 12 to 20 years of relevant experience and a track record of high achievement in consulting strategy or business development.
  • Experience working with Senior Management and driving intrapreneurial projects.

Desired Qualities:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in English and Hindi.

  • Operating style suited to a smallorganization setting valuing teamwork and resourcefulness.
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and presentation skills.

  • Excellent leadership skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Selfdriven able to take on projects independently with an entrepreneurial spirit and cando attitude and open to feedback.
