Software Developer

As a Software Developer in JWO Network Infra org you will help solve a variety of technical challenges. You will play an active role in translating business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables proofs of concept in partnership with other technology leaders within the team. You will help invent new features design develop and deploy highly scalable and reliable distributed services and ensure they remain in operationally health state. You will work with a variety of core languages and technologies including Java Python Go Linux and AWS technologies.

You will tackle challenging novel situations every day and given the size of this initiative youll have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity thats higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving problems that frankly havent been solved at scale before anywhere. Basic qualifications

* BS in Computer Science or related technical field (In lieu of degree 4 years of relevant work experience). * 4 years of handson programming experience in Java Go Python. * 4 years of experience with OO design and common design patterns. * Experience in data structures algorithms and complexity analysis. The ability to produce bulletproof code that is faulttolerant efficient and maintainable. * Strong examples demonstrating past work experience deliverables and/or innovation across a broad range of methods.

Preferred qualifications

* 4 years of experience in Java or Go or Python * Experiences writing software on embedded device and/or performance optimizations * Experiences working with AWS services * Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project planning/execution skills including estimating and scheduling. * Experience optimizing for short term execution while planning for long term technical capabilities. Ability and willingness to multitask and learn new technologies quickly.
