OPTICIAN (Permanent)
Our client a longestablished optical group is seeking an Optician to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity in a company that values its employees.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands on customer service performing assessments and educating customers
  
• Receive prescriptions from optometrists/ophthalmologists interpreting and verifying each prior to putting into lenses
  
• Measure pupillary distance along with other measurements to ensure the fit and alignment of frames are accurate
  
• Provide guidance & education to customers when selecting lenses and frames
  
• Ensure customers are aware of different lens options/coatings and different enhancements available that adhere to their budget and preferences
  
• Act as an owner of the products available offering recommendations when requested
  
• Provide education on care/maintenance of glasses and contact lenses to ensure each product lasts
  
• Write up and process new orders ensuring information is accurately documented and input into system
  
• Remain uptodate with current trends in eyewear products and technology
  
• Perform maintenance and repairs on eyewear as customer needs
  
• Other duties as assigned/as necessary
  
  

Details:

• Position is full time direct hire
  
• 100% inoffice
  
• Travel in between a few offices may be required on occasion to backfill shifts when a colleague has taken off
  
• Rotating schedules
  
• $25.00 $29.00/hour depending on experience
  
• 13 years experience as an Optician
  
• Licensed Optician or current certification

• Excellent computer skills
