The prestigious top 10 accountancy practice is renowned for providing comprehensive audit advisory and compliance services to a diverse client base primarily within the Sussex and Surrey counties. The practice has a strong reputation for supporting clients across various sectors including financial services technology construction and notforprofit organizations.
We are seeking an experienced Audit Director with RI status to join our clients dynamic Redhill office. This role is pivotal in managing overseeing and mentoring a team of auditors particularly focusing on the development and training of junior staff members. The Audit Director will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of the firm and ensuring the successful execution of audit engagements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the audit team ensuring highquality service delivery.
- Oversee the training and professional development of trainees and junior staff members.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of audit clients with a focus on businesses with turnovers up to 15 million.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Provide strategic advice and insights to clients within various sectors including financial services technology construction and notforprofit.
- Collaborate with other departments to offer a holistic service to clients.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Redhill office supporting business development initiatives.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Prepare and present reports and findings to senior management and clients.
Requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified with RI status.
- Significant experience in an audit leadership role within a reputable accountancy practice.
- Proven track record of managing audit teams and developing junior staff members.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of current audit regulations and standards.
- Excellent client management and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
