Job Description: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Accounts Officer with comprehensive knowledge of Sage50 accounts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong to do work ethic the ability to work independently as well as part of an enthusiastic team and the initiative to delegate tasks where necessary. This role involves regular reporting to the COO and CEO providing financial data for six companies within the same sector and identifying areas where profitability can be improved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Entry & Reconciliation:
  • Accurately reconcile bank accounts and credit cards using Sage Line 50.
    
  • Ensure all client and deposit accounts are reconciled and ready for audit by governing bodies.
    
• Financial Reporting & YearEnd Preparation:
  • Prepare annual yearend accounts for all six companies ensuring they are ready for submission to an external accountant.
    
  • Report financial data to the COO and CEO regularly.
    
• Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  • Allocate rental payments to the correct tenant codes using CFP software.
    
  • Ensure all landlords and contractors are paid promptly.
    
  • Maintain creditor ledgers on Sage Line 50 and ensure all suppliers are paid within credit terms.
    
• Transaction Review:
  • Review and post transactions from completion statements received from company solicitors related to new property purchases.
    
• Team Support:
  • Act as the first point of contact for the accounts team assisting with any queries.
    
  • Support and guide team members helping to rectify any issues they encounter.
    

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  
• Strong problemsolving skills and supportive nature in resolving staff queries.
  
• Willingness to learn new software packages.
  
• Vast knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Excel.
  
• Over 10 years of accountancy experience is preferable.
