Role: Senior Automation/Performance Tester

Location: Huntsville TX (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months contract and possibility of extension

Position description:

Client is seeking a skilled Test Automation/Performance Test Lead to drive our automation testing efforts and contribute to the success of our Corrections Information Technology Systems (CITS) project. The Test Automation Lead will be responsible for implementing automation frameworks mentoring the testing team and ensuring the delivery of highperformance scalable software solutions.

Identification of test tools and applications necessary for automation and performance testing Implementation of said test tools in collaboration with infrastructure teams Mentor testing team Report testing metrics and remediation plans Identify and report on gaps risks and issues

Have the ability to evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Have the ability to develop and implement automation testing strategies and frameworks to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.

Have the ability to evaluate and collaborate with technical teams to assess appropriate automation tools and technologies based on project requirements and objectives and to implement those effectively.

Have the ability to conduct performance stress and load testing to assess system scalability reliability and responsiveness.

Have the ability to collaborate with the testing team in performance testing concepts and methodologies providing guidance on test design and execution.

Have the ability to support the testing team to develop automation scripts and executed testing.

Have the ability to train the testing teams to improve the teams automation testing capabilities.

Possess a solid understanding of Azure DevOps (ADO) and cloud infrastructure concepts with the ability to leverage Azure for testing purposes.

Proficiency in ADO (Azure DevOps) and CI/CD concepts. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Excellent communicator able to translate needs demands and requirements into easily understandable thoughts and ideas.

Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to effectively lead and mentor a team.

Job Duties:

Responsible for testing a variety of programs and systems for compliance with nonfunctional requirements;

Use of various automation test tools to automate manual test cases;

Specifying overall approach to creating test data and conditions for test scenarios;

Preparing testing schedules and documents expected results;

Advising team on debugging aids available for environment;

Ability to develop test scripts and utilize appropriate testing tools; and

Ability to prepare schedules documentation and test data to simulate conditions.

Job Qualifications:

Ability to collaborate with the client organization and 3rd party vendors;

Familiar with standard concepts practices and procedures within the testing field;

Experience with use of performance test tools and automation test tools;

Acquires and applies skills and knowledge through training and/or documentation;

Accepts changes in the Customer environment organizational structure direction or priorities;

Acquires knowledge of the Customers business in assigned area;

Acquires knowledge of the Customers industry;

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills;

Education and Experience:

AS BA BS related degrees or equivalent experience;

A minimum of four (4) years of coding and/or performance/automation testing experience; and

Communications industry knowledge/experience preferred.
